Texas is prone to bad storms and often times vehicles get damaged in the flood waters. High water loosens the ground around trees, causing them to fall on vehicles, and as water levels rise, the insides of cars are saturated as well. As a rule of thumb, we advise that any customer dealing with a flood car that has not been started since the water damage NOT to turn it on. You may wish to call your insurance and file a claim to notify them of the incident. Then, it is best to have it towed to a facility for further inspection as soon as possible to start a flood procedures checklist.
